Life on the streets of New York

Life on the streets of New York

This was taken downtown just about Houston Street.
I have to apologize for, in my mind, utilizing the homeless man, asleep in the street, as a compositional element for the picture that developed in my viewfinder.
I saw three elements to work with.  Including only his legs, jutting into the frame, conveyed his plight in the context of the other two components of the street, the fire hydrant and window.
Post-processing included a little experimentation with Tonemapping, which I use VERY infrequently.  But in this case, it brought out all of the subtle tones and textures of the scene while maintaining a realistic look and feel.

Thanks for stopping by.
