Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the last decade or more, you know that Barcelona has some of the most fascinating urban landscapes in the world.
But also in Barcelona – great photo opps are everywhere.
It was continuously built up and on top of itself from ancient Roman time to the present. And although the architecture, from Roman to medieval to Gaudi are the main photographic attractions, the humanity of Barcelona is undeniable.
This photo was taken from an adjoining balcony. Photos and posters of Salvador Dali are pretty ubiquitous in Barcelona. But this one, next to the two old guys obviously having a great time together watching the world go by was an image just screaming to be captured. I brought up the shadows to reveal the details in the apartment behind them. What a great little discovery to find more beautiful paintings (one of them is a nude) on the wall behind them. What is THEIR story, I wonder.
Happy shooting,
